Your Order is being prepared
Your order will be carefully prepared and packed the day before your chosen delivery date, ready for collection by our courier.
If you need to make any changes to your order, such as amending the product, delivery address or adding a gift message, please contact us no later than 11:00am on the day of despatch.
Once your shipping label has been printed and your parcel has been collected by the courier, we are unfortunately unable to make any further changes to your delivery.
From this point, you can use the DPD app to track your parcel and provide the courier with any available delivery instructions. Please note that the delivery address cannot be changed once your parcel has been despatched, so we recommend checking all of your details carefully beforehand.
Your order has been shipped
The day before your delivery is due, you’ll receive an email from the courier, DPD, advising:
“We’ve received your order details, but have not yet received your parcel.”
Don’t worry – this simply means that your shipping label has been created and your parcel tracking number is now available, allowing you to start tracking your order. Once DPD collects your parcel from us, the driver scans the shipping label and your parcel officially enters their delivery network.
It is then transported to a sorting hub, where parcels are processed and moved overnight to the appropriate regional depot. From there, DPD’s systems sort the parcels and plan the most efficient delivery routes, assigning your order to the local DPD depot ready for its journey to your door the following day.
Tracking your order
Track Your DPD Delivery
To keep up to date with your delivery, we recommend downloading the DPD App https://www.dpd.com/nl/en/mydpd-app/ to your phone.
Register or log in using the email address and mobile number associated with your order. Your upcoming delivery should then appear within the app, allowing you to follow its progress.
On the Day of Delivery - The DPD App allows you to:
- View your delivery – Open the app to see your active DPD deliveries.
- See your 1-hour delivery timeslot – DPD will provide an estimated one-hour window for your delivery.
- Track your driver – Once live tracking becomes available, you can follow your driver's progress on the map and see your position in the delivery queue.
- Manage your delivery – If you're not going to be home, you may be able to select an alternative delivery option, such as a safe place or preferred neighbour.
If you don't have a delivery automatically showing, DPD's UK tracking page will ask you to enter your reference/tracking number and delivery postcode.
IMPORTANT:
We strongly recommend checking your DPD tracking on the morning of delivery so you know when your parcel is expected and can make suitable arrangements to receive it.
As your order contains perishable goods, please ensure once received, it is placed into the freezer (Pasties by Post) or refrigerator (Cornish Hampers) as soon as possible after delivery.
Your 1 hour delivery window
On the morning of delivery, DPD sends an email or SMS text message via their Predict service containing a precise 1-hour estimated delivery window (for example, "between 14:00 - 15:00"), along with live tracking links and in-flight delivery.
DPD Notification Details:
- Timing: Sent early in the morning on the actual day of delivery once the driver's manifest and route are optimized.
- Contents: Includes a 1-hour time slot, the driver's name, a parcel number, and a link to the DPD Tracking Portal.
- Interactive Options: Allows recipients to redirect the parcel to a neighbour, safe place, or local Pickup shop if the provided slot is inconvenient.
Managing your delivery
Managing Your DPD Delivery Features:
- Live Tracking - See the exact location of your driver and your number in the queue on a real-time map.
- In-Flight Options - Change your delivery day, leave the parcel with a neighbour or provide "safe place" instructions.
- Proof of Delivery - Drivers take a photo of the parcel at your doorstep as confirmation when the package is handed over or left in a safe place.
IMPORTANT: If you change your delivery date after your order has been dispatched, we cannot accept responsibility for any deterioration or spoilage of the goods. Your order is packed and prepared specifically for the original delivery date selected, and delaying delivery may affect the condition of the products.
Please ensure someone is available to receive your order on the scheduled delivery date. As our products are perishable, we are unable to accept responsibility or issue refunds or replacements, for goods that spoil, are stolen, or go missing after a delivery has been successfully made.
Receiving and storing your order
We offer two types of products, and the storage method depends on the product range you've ordered:
1.Frozen, Unbaked Products –
These are part of our Pasties by Post collection. They're shipped in frozen packaging and should go straight into your freezer upon arrival. Because they’re uncooked, you can bake them fresh at home whenever it suits you. This flexibility is ideal for larger quantities or for stocking up.
2. Chilled, Pre-Baked Products –
Found in our Cream Teas by Post hampers, these items are baked before dispatch and sent chilled. They’re smaller in quantity and meant for more immediate enjoyment. Once they arrive, refrigerate goods upon receipt and consume within 5 days. 3 days for the pasties & 5 days for the scones/cream.
