A blue cheese delight
Fans of blue cheese will love our Beef & Stilton Pasty. It’s based on our Traditional Steak Pasty with scatterings of blue stilton cheese. The stilton melts beautifully when heated, and the strong, distinctive taste is unique. This pasty isn’t for everyone, but then again, stilton is a cheese you either love or hate!
To make the filling, the beef is stewed for over two hours to break down the proteins and make tender beef chippings. The steak melts in your mouth and it’s the same product we use in our Steak & Ale Pasty. The stilton we use is English stilton blue, which is stronger and sharper than the white stilton variety.
The filling is encased in our signature pastry. This is a butter shortcrust pastry made with the best ingredients. Our recipe is a closely guarded secret and you can definitely tell the difference between our pastry and others - our pastry has an excellent bite to it and doesn’t crumble, so it can be eaten on the move.
Blue stilton isn’t to everyone’s taste, but the balance of our Beef & Stilton Pasty will be right up your street if you’re into it.
