Our Steak & Ale Pasty holds legendary status among our customers. It’s deep filled with tender beef chippings, potato, onion and swede. The beef is marinated and cooked with Cornish Tribute, a pale ale with zesty, fruity notes. The alcohol is reduced to create one of the richest and beefiest pasties you’ll ever eat.
The eagle-eyed among you may notice that the texture of our Steak & Ale Pasty is similar to our Traditional Cornish Pasty. This is because it has the same ingredients, only it’s cooked with Cornish Tribute. This small deviation in the recipe creates a rich filling that’s akin to a nice, homely stew. It tastes absolutely fantastic.
The pastry we use for our Steak & Ale Pasty is an all-butter shortcrust. Our pastry is a closely guarded family secret and unique to us. It doesn’t crumble or break up in your hand, allowing you to eat your pasty without fear of the filling going everywhere. The pastry is so good it has helped us win multiple awards.
