Our Small Steak & Henderson’s Pasty offers something a little different - marinated and stewed beef in a rich gravy with Henderson’s Relish. The filling contains West Country Beef seasoned with Henderson’s relish, also known as ‘the Black Stuff’. The dominant flavour of Henderson’s gives this pasty a unique, sharp taste.

Henderson’s Relish has a rich and powerful flavour profile of tamarind and warm spices with a sugar and vinegar base. Unlike Worcestershire sauce, which is a condiment, Henderson’s is a relish. There’s no substitute for Henderson’s Relish because the flavour profile is unique. If you’re a fan, then you’re going to love this pasty!

The spiciness of fruitiness of Henderson’s relish is a perfect match for our tender stewed beef and butter shortcrust pastry. Some would say it’s a match made in heaven, and many of our customers prefer this pasty to a traditional pasty.
