Calzones – The Authentic Taste of Italy!
Produced in the traditionally Italian way, with an olive oil based pastry (pizza base) surrounding the delicious filling of the Calzone. The Margherita is a mix of finely chopped tomatoes, garlic and basil which is mixed with mozzarella cheese.
A calzone is otherwise known as an Italian turnover, where the ingredients are placed in the centre of a pizza dough ring and then wrapped to form a ‘soc’, traditionally Calzones are lightly salted and then fried! The hard work has been taken out of our Calzones, all you need to do is place them in the oven for 35 mins at 180 deg celsius and then remove to eat! Simple!
